The Antony Gormley statue which was placed on Herm earlier this year, has probably been one of the most photographed corners of Herm! Several entries to the recent Herm photograph competition had the statue as the subject.
Le Petit Monceau, where the piece from the series Another Time XI is placed, used to be an area that not many visitors ventured to. All that changed when the 630kg cast iron replica of Antony Gormley was installed at the top of the little hill. Having the statue on Herm meant we had something in common with New York as this year 31 of the Antony Gormley statues were also placed on buildings and at street level in the Big Apple.
