Herm Sea Horse

It’s literally all hands on deck when the island cargo boat, Herm Sea Horse arrives at the harbour ready to be unloaded.  During the peak summer weeks the cargo boat goes to Guernsey three times a week to pick up non-perishable essentials for all the departments.  The sailing times depend on high tide times which is why there is often a delivery of ice-creams to the beach cafes and snack bar in the middle of the afternoon when there is a queue of customers!

Nice to see some familiar faces. These shots should let people know some of the hard work that goes on "behind the scenes". Well done lads.

The lads do work hard.  It is always good to see them work as a team and unloading the cargo swiftly.  What we don't see is all the effort that goes into loading the skips with the cargo on Guernsey.
