Interesting find on Herm

by herm, Monday 7 March 2011 11:06

If you are not a facebook user and you do don’t watch the local news on Channel TV you may have missed out hearing about the latest find on Herm.  This winter restoration work has been taking place on St. Tugual’s Church.  Whilst digging a soakaway in the Manor Garden next to the church workers discovered a number of skeletons only a metre or so beneath the surface.  Archaeologists from the states department Culture & Leisure came over to Herm with all the necessary equipment and got digging!

If you would like to see the local TV coverage of the find click here. http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_channelreports/home.asp It is available online until 24 March 2011.  The Herm report is approximately 5:20 into the news.
