At the beginning of the 2010 season a new path was opened up that takes walkers up to the top of Monku, the hill above Fisherman’s Cottage.  Judging by the well worn path leading from the Spine Road near the common it has been well used.  It is well worth the climb up the short steep hill as the view is fantastic.
