Most of the holiday cottages are open all year round and there are always some guests who like to holiday on Herm out of the main season.  Two of these were friends Maureen Brand and David Langrish.  In March they spent two weeks in a holiday cottage and enjoyed the spring time tranquillity of the island.  Coming out of season means you are more likely to get to know island residents.  Two in particular that they were introduced to were the goats, Sweetpea and Honeybun.  They met them most days when they were taken out for a walk by The Goat Lady, Jane.

The sunrise photos were taken from Belvoir Beach on 14th March.  The sun came up that morning at 06.26!  Maureen has been coming to Herm for over 20 years and frequently gets asked why she keeps returning.  Maureen said that the photo taken on Shell Beach answers that question:  “The beaches, the beauty and the only footsteps are mine”.
