By Sea
There are regular ferries from Weymouth, Poole, Jersey and St Malo to Guernsey's St Peter Port harbour. The ferry terminal is relatively close to the Trident departure point, however with numerous pieces of luggage we recommend transfer to the boat by pre-booked taxi.
The Condor Wavepiercer, a fast catamaran service, offers an excellent low cost two and a half-hour cross channel service direct to the Channel Islands. There is also a conventional ferry service running from Portsmouth that takes 7 hours on its daylight passage and 13 hours on its overnight return to the UK. The conventional ferry travels in virtually any weather while the catamarans while quicker can be affected by weather conditions in the channel.
Condor Ferries operate between the UK, Channel Islands and France.
On leaving Herm a departure from the ferry terminal is not practical before 10.30, as the first ferry leaving Herm will not arrive in Guernsey until 09.25.
