Herm Island offers so much potential for corporate entertaining, staff incentives, meeting and events. The White House Hotel has a conference room that seats 10 people, and is ideal for meetings away from the office whilst in the comfort of the Hotel.

Events can include kayaking, archery, clay pigeon shooting and activity quizzes, with dining available at the Mermaid Tavern, Ship Inn and The White House Hotel marquee – ideal for entertaining guests or the team.

It is so easy to get interrupted when using the company boardroom. You can truly leave the office and realise a return on your investment in time by holding your meeting or training session at The White House Hotel on Herm Island.

Your conference, your way – you define the pace of your meeting. Let us know what you need, and when you need it, and we’ll make the arrangements. The Hermetier conference room comfortably accommodates ten delegates around a boardroom table, while there is a further area in the hotel which can easily accommodate 16 delegates around the table.

Freedom dining – You can choose where you dine in the broad array of restaurants that are available on the island, offering differing styles and menus for all tastes. Choose either the Two Rosette Conservatory Restaurant or the less formal atmosphere of The Ship Inn at The White House Hotel Alternatively, dine from the bar menu with a drop of Herm Island Gold real ale at The Mermaid Tavern. Either way, you’ll find that the wine lists offer fabulous choice, with amazing value.

Functions & Events

The White House Hotel is the ideal location to impress guests and business colleagues alike. Guests are able to make use of our private meeting room before enjoying a lunch in The Conservatory Restaurant. Alternatively, enjoy spectacular coastal views with a marquee function on the hotel lawn. We offer a wide range of menus for all types of functions.

We will organise the best menus, fabulous wines, reception drinks, marquee hire, tables and chairs, dancefloor, the Travel Trident ferry and staff your function. We do not, however, directly book components like bands, flowers or wedding cakes but would be happy to offer advice based on our previous experiences in this area.

We are able to organise a marquee suitable for corporate events and parties to seat from 20 to 140 guests. Private use of either of our 2 restaurants can also be arranged, depending on your party’s needs. We are also happy to make your travel arrangements through our association with Travel Trident.

Corporate Social Responsibility Programme

Herm Island is a public place during daylight hours, and as such, is open to community projects which help keep the island in the best possible shape. If your company would like to get involved in Herm’s community projects as part of their CSR policy, we would be delighted to hear from you. The following are typical projects that are available to CSR projects. Work available depends on the time of year and the number of people in the group.

Cleaning and clearing Herm Island’s beach of rubbish.

Tree planting

Herm Island occasionally receives trees from the Woodland Trust, help with planting them and maintenance of newly planted tree areas is appreciated. Over the past few years, several hundred trees have been planted around the island. Without regular maintenance, the trees quickly become swamped by undergrowth.

General garden maintenance

Everything grows quickly on Herm Island; help is always appreciated.
