Events on Herm Island
Herm Island is home to many diverse, interesting and enjoyable events which are easy to get involved with. Forthcoming events such as real ale and cider festivals, musical events, sporting events, yoga and wellbeing retreats, island discovery events and shopping trips will be highlighted on these pages. If you are interested in holding an event on Herm Island, please contact robertletherbarrow@herm.com in the first instance.
You can stay in either the holiday cottages, or the White House Hotel cottage bedrooms – please note that the Hotel itself is not open.
Holiday Cottages
The cost per cottage for two nights, 3rd and 4th November is £326 per cottage – cottages sleep up to 6, and some can accommodate dogs, but please check with reservations prior to bringing your dog. This rate also includes entry into the bonfire and fireworks event, and also supper for all residents of the cottage on the Saturday evening in the Mermaid Tavern.
White House Hotel
Adults are charged at £110 per person per night on a bed and breakfast basis for the nights of the 3rd and 4th November, with children under 14 charged at £54. This cost also includes entry into the bonfire and fireworks event, and also supper for all residents of the cottage on the Saturday evening in the Mermaid Tavern. Breakfast is taken in the Mermaid Tavern.
Build a Guy competition.
All guests are invited to “build a Guy” which are then exhibited at 5pm on the 4th November. Guy’s should be built as a play on words of either Guy or Fawkes – and will be judged prior to the Guys being put onto the bonfire. Prizes include weekend stays on Herm in a holiday cottage and on the campsite.
