THE WHITE HOUSE HOTEL
As The White House Hotel comes into view, you know that it is special, after all how many hotels can boast a Britain in Bloom Gold Award-winning island as their garden, a harbour-side setting and such spectacular sea views? Tradition is cherished at this country house-style hotel to which many families have been coming for generations. You’ll find a variety of delightful bedrooms, including the luxurious Crow’s Nest Suite, Harbour Cottage with its own garden, and family accommodation with separate bedrooms for the children, plus the hotel has eight dog-friendly rooms so your four-legged friend can enjoy a wonderful Herm break too! The hotel encourages you to unwind so you won’t find televisions, clocks or telephones in the rooms, just one TV in the hotel garden bar. Even hotel events such as weddings finish playing music by 10.30pm at the very latest.
You can enjoy tea or cocktails by the swimming pool, play a game of croquet or tennis, enjoy an aperitif in the Monk’s Bar or choose a sofa in a cosy lounge and curl up in front of the fire with a coffee and a good book.
The White House Hotel is open from 1st April until 10th October 2024 with some yoga and wellbeing retreats and New Year packages also available (see HERE for details)
“A trip to Herm is like stepping back in time to an Agatha Christie novel. A very special and peaceful hotel where the staff could not do enough for you. We especially loved the restaurant Manager Geo. He is the most entertaining, attentive and caring front of house person we have ever had the pleasure to meet.”

“Had the most magical weekend on Herm, a little paradise of an island. Beautiful, unspoilt countryside, tropical sandy beaches (amazing shells!) and above all else the sort of freedom for kids that takes you back to Enid Blyton adventures. Prosecco and cocktails watching the sun go down at the hotel is a must – the sunsets are incredible. And if you’re lucky like us, you’ll see dolphins and puffins! Left London for 3 days and came back feeling like we’d had 2 weeks away – can’t wait to come back in the summer.”
