There is no better place to enjoy a spot of fishing than from Herm Island. It offers a diverse range of opportunities to fish. To the north there is an expanse of beaches, while to the south there are cliffs and rocky outcrops. There is something for every angler on Herm, during all kinds of weather and at all states of the tide.
Herm is popular with anglers throughout the year. The National Federation of Sea Anglers has regularly chosen Herm as the venue for their individual championship final. There is often a group of anglers who come on the last Travel Trident ferry from Guernsey, stay to fish all night and then return to Guernsey on the first ferry next morning.
Hire a Holiday Cottage for a short break or spend a week or more indulging yourself with some marvellous angling opportunities on this beautiful island. After a hard day angling, if cooking your catch doesn’t appeal, then hot and cold food is available at The Mermaid Tavern, along with a refreshing pint of ale!
